Quarterly Residential Bulk Trash Service
On Your Regular Garbage Day (January 26 through 29)

Bulk trash pick up service will take place on its regular schedule this month for the following residential customers in Weston.  

Single Family Homes and Multi-Family Units with Curbside Collection:
  • Wednesday, January 26
  • Thursday, January 27, or
  • Friday, January 28

Multi-Family Units with Dumpsters (Place items near dumpster):
  • Saturday, January 29

Bulk pickup occurs on the date of your regularly scheduled garbage collection, all items should be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on your pick up day.

Bulk items include but are not limited to:
  • Furniture, mattresses, carpets and other large household items.
  • Large and small appliances, such as dishwashers, laundry machines and stoves.
  • Refrigerators or air conditioners must have Freon removed by a certified dealer.
  • Mirrors, glass, glass top tables, windowpanes, and plate glass items should be safely placed in a rigid container to facilitate safe collection.
  • Homeowner-generated vegetative waste from regular yard maintenance -- NOT Contractor-generated waste. Work done by landscaping contractors must be hauled away by the contractor.

NOT COLLECTEDBulk items DO NOT include contractor-generated material or household hazardous waste (HHW).

Still have your Christmas tree? Residents with curbside garbage collection can place trees out on their regular garbage pickup day through this Saturday, January 15, 2022.

  • Place in swale for pickup on your regular garbage service day
  • Trees should be placed next to the garbage carts
  • Do not place next to mailbox
  • Trees over 6 feet tall should be cut in half

Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection
DRIVE THRU EVENT
January 23, 2022 | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
City of Weston Public Works Services Center

Put aside items that cannot be placed into the trash or put out for bulk pickup, and bring them to the annual FREE Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection event. Hazardous waste items will be properly disposed and electronics will be recycled. Simply pull up and drop off your items.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) refers to used or leftover contents of consumer products that contain chemicals with one of the four characteristics: Toxic, Ignitable, Corrosive, or Reactive as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency.

What items are accepted? 
  • Oil and latex paints and thinners
  • Used motor oil, auto fluids and gasoline solvents
  • Pesticides and fertilizers
  • Pool chemicals
  • Drain cleaners
  • Tires
  • Mercury
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Rechargeable & automobile batteries
  • Electronics such as computers and televisions, printers, etc.

at Broward County Residential Drop-Off Locations
If you cannot make it to our drive through collection event, you don't have to wait for the next event. Weston residents are able to drop off household hazardous waste weekly at Broward County's Residential Drop Off Centers. Save this information for the future!

Every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.*

Access the center from Davie Road, just south of I-595, follow Reese Road east around curve until see Broward County signage
on south side of Reese Road.

Please bring proof of residency (photo ID and a document that shows your official address such as a tax bill, TRIM notice, voter registration, utility bill, or other official government-issued document).
