Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road
Kick off your Independence Day weekend festivities with an evening of family-friendly fun leading up to a spectacular fireworks finale to honor Weston’s 25th Anniversary on Saturday, July 3 at Regional Park.

Event begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Arrive early to pick your perfect viewing spot. Bring your own blankets and chairs and have a picnic in the park leading up to the fireworks.
Hometown Celebration 5K Run/Walk
Sponsored by the YMCA of South Florida, the Weston YMCA Family Center and the City of Weston 
Sunday, July 4 | Race starts at 7:15 a.m.
Race starts/ends inside Regional Park
The Weston Hometown July 4th Celebration is truly a hometown event and this year, it’s back in-person and better than ever! Registration is still open, so gather your friends and family to join in.

We know that it’s hot and humid in South Florida on the 4th of July, but we are prepared! Race participants always enjoy the popular Hook and Ladder shower at the finish line where race participants will enjoy cooling off a bit.

All participants will receive a finisher medal and a race t-shirt.

Registration fee:
  • $25 race fee + $4.50 SignUp fee
  • There are NO REFUNDS and NO EXCEPTIONS.

It's Time for a Parade!
Admission is FREE! | July 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
Our Hometown tradition is back! Patriotic pride prevails at Weston’s largest annual community event. The theme of the 2021 parade is Weston, Celebrating 25 years! Enjoy local businesses, civic groups, schools, bands, organizations and residents on parade decked out in red, white and blue.  

Parade route: 
The parade starts corner of Town Center Blvd. and Three Village Road, continuing east on Three Village Road to Bonaventure Blvd. heading south briefly to Bell Tower Lane, and winding through Weston Town Center to the heart of Main Street. 
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC DELAYS AND LANE CLOSURES
To minimize traffic delays and any inconvenience to motorists, please note the following temporary road and lane closures:
 
Sunday, July 4, 2021
 
6:00 – 8:30 a.m. (Due to 5K race)

South Post Road: Closed between Saddle Club Road and the Public Works Services Center at 2599 South Post Road
Weston Regional Park: Access to the park will be restricted.

9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Due to parade)
Traffic will be impacted in the area surrounding Weston Town Center from approximately 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
 
Town Center Boulevard: Northbound and southbound lane closures, between Town Center Circle and Indian Trace
Three Village Road: Closed eastbound between Town Center Boulevard and Bonaventure Boulevard.
Bonaventure Boulevard: Closed southbound between Three Village Road and Bell Tower Lane.
 
PARK AMENITY CLOSURES
The following will be closed in preparation for the Hometown Celebration Festivities.
 
Friday, June 2
South playground and park shelters at Weston Regional Park 

Saturday, July 3
Access to the following amenities at Weston Regional Park will be restricted all day on Saturday, July 3 as preparations are made for the 25th Anniversary Celebration & Fireworks event happening at the park from 6 until 9 p.m.
  • South playground
  • Park shelters at Weston Regional Park
  • Hockey rinks
  • Baseball fields 2, 4, 6, and 8

Sunday, July 4
  • Access to Weston Regional Park will be restricted from 6 – 8:30 a.m.
  • All City parks close at 6 p.m.

Independence Day Holiday Observance
City Offices Will be Closed on Monday, July 5
Happy Independence Day, Weston! Since the holiday falls on Sunday this year, the City of Weston administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 5.

All City parks will close at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 4. Certain amenities will be restricted at Regional Park on July 3 and 4, and there will be road and lane closures on the morning of July 4 for the holiday events (5K race and parade.) Read on to find out more about our holiday events and plan to celebrate this Fourth of July Weekend with us!  
Our Hearts are with Surfside
The tragic collapse of part of the Champlain Tower South Condominium in the Town of Surfside has brought people from around the world together, asking what can be done to help, including many here in Weston. Due to the outpouring of volunteer support, the Town is not in need of additional volunteers at this time. We have provided a list of donation sites from the Surfside website should you desire to help. We continue to pray, along with the world, for miracles of life.

Fourth of July celebrations are a great opportunity to gather with family and friends and that means your pets too, as they’re a part of the family right? Well, as much as you love them, leave them out of this celebration. July 4 is the biggest night of the year for lost pets. Both cats and dogs panic and flee the bright lights and loud noises of fireworks, party revelers and music. Follow these tips to make your holiday stress free for both you and your favorite furry friends.

Have plans for Independence Day holiday weekend? Join the City of Weston as we kicks off the Hometown Celebration festivities on Saturday, July 3 with an evening of family fun and FIREWORKS at Weston Regional Park from 6 p.m. through 9 p.m.

The next morning, on Sunday, July 4the 5K Run/Walk returns to an in-person event. The race starts and ends at Regional Park. Race start time is 7:15 a.m. Later that morning, enjoy the very popular and much anticipated Hometown Celebration Parade which begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Town Center. Show your patriotic pride and celebrate with us this Fourth of July!
There is Still Time to Register!
July 4th 5K Run/Walk
The July 4th 5K Run/Walk is right around the corner and there is still time to register! Registration is just $25 and all runners and walkers will receive a medal and t-shirt commemorating the race. This year’s race will take place this Sunday, July 4 at 7: 15 a.m. and starts and ends at Regional Park. Don’t wait! Register with friends and family today. 
City of Weston Park Pavilion Rentals Available Starting July 10
Weston now has a way to reserve park pavilions online. RecDesk is an online portal that gives you the option to rent pavilions, Community Center multi-purpose rooms and even enroll in programs and classes when they resume this fall. You choose the date and time and even process the payments all in one place. Register your household today.

Get Fit this Summer with the YMCA Summer Games Challenge
Go for gold in the YMCA Summer Games Fitness Challenge. In a span of six weeks, participants must complete a minimum of 120 miles or 20 miles per week of walking, running, biking, etc. To participate, join via the YMCA SFL Mobile App, using the “Challenges” tile option and track your progress using the app. Participants will get an opportunity to win a three month free YMCA membership. The challenge runs from July 4 through August 15, 2021. Don’t miss out!
